Hedman Hedders has been manufacturing quality headers in the USA since 1954, and they've been manufacturing Ford Mustang headers for nearly as long as Mustangs have been on the road. Each set uses mild or stainless steel, smooth flowing, CNC mandrel bent tubes, that are hand-welded to ensure each pair is identical to the next. Hedman's unique, gasketless ball and socket collector design allows your SB Ford's exhaust system to bolt up, even if it is not perfectly aligned with the header collectors.
These uncoated mild steel, MID-LENGTH TUBE headers fit the most iconic passenger cars to come out of Ford and Mercury between 1964-1977, with a 260-302W. Among this prestigious list is 1964-73 Ford Mustang and Falcon, '66-73 Ranchero & Torino, '69-77 Maverick, '66-70 Fairlane, '67-73 Mercury Cougar and'70-73 Comet models fitted with a 260-302W engine. These headers fit automatic transmission equipped vehicles only. The long, smooth 1-1/2 in., rectangle port tube design provides superior exhaust flow over factory manifolds to let your Ford Windsor block engine breathe better, and produce more low-end torque and horsepower.
These headers are uncoated, and ship from the factory with a temporary black paint that will burn off when submitted to normal operating temperatures. For protection against the element and lower underhood temperatures, these headers are also available with a silver or black ceramic-metallic finish, as well as 100% stainless steel construction.
Each set includes a pair of gaskets, header flange bolts and collector bolts. No collector gasket is needed.

Every set of headers Hedman makes is mandrel-bent for a consistent internal diameter and maximum flow, then flame-tested against leaks. For easy installation, they have unique ball socket collector flanges, which give you up to 20° of connection flexibility in case your pipes don’t match up perfectly. Hedders come with all the gaskets and hardware you need, plus instructions. All of Hedman’s Street Hedders are warranted for life, while Husler Hedders for racing have a 3-year limited warranty. Hedman also makes mufflers, exhaust tips, tubing, and other exhaust parts to those same high standards of performance and quality.
Hedman Hedders, began as a one man shop in 1954. Bob Hedman, founder of Hedman Hedders, sold his highly sought after exhaust tubes to fellow racers on the salt flats of the Mojave Desert. But, what started out as a way to make a few bucks to pay for Bobs racing hobby, quickly turned into the premier header manufacturer for both the racing and street header marketplaces.
Originally designed for straightline drag racers, word spread quickly about Hedmans reputation for building headers that gave you the best boost in power for your dollar.
